rmc28: Photo of me shortly before starting my first half-marathon (half-marathon)

Yes, it has been more than two weeks since I last ran, thanks to being ill and taking a long time to stop coughing even when I was well enough to go back to work.  I was a bit nervous about going out as it snowed last night and this morning, but the paths I could see from from the office window had been gritted, and the sun came out, so it seemed a pity not to go.

Today's run is 23 minutes, alternating minutes of running and walking, and it felt like a nice gentle return to running.  All the paths I took were gritted and it was nice to be out in the sunshine.  I am amused on my return to discover I achieved exactly the same pace as in the last c25k run I did - the 25 minutes continuous that I hate-ran.  My running segments were considerably faster (though also very variable) and my walking segments were all faster than my usual commute-pace.  So that's looking hopeful.

(Yes, really, after 2 weeks of no running and rather less walking than usual, my endorphin rush is rather stronger than usual.)

Next run: Thursday lunchtime

Ugh, sorry you've been poorly, but well done for getting started again after an enforced gap. And yay successful interval running!
