angrboda: Running feet with running shoes on. (C25K)

I moved on to week 5 today. I looked up what I was supposed to do and decided that was doable, and indeed it was.

However, I'm supposed to only do this once, and then move straight on to a more difficult run?

Dear Evil Laura,

dream on.

Sincerely,
me.

Therefore, this was week 5, day 1, session 1.

It was three times five minutes with three minutes walking in between. Not super different from what was going on in week 4, so I felt pretty confident. It wasn't too difficult today. My breathing worked out fairly well, I was able to actually lift my feet, and I was also able to try and speed up a bit on the last minute of the final run.

I think I will do this session one more time and then see how I feel about moving on to day 2. (I've seen day 3. I'm scared of it. Seriously. It's the stuff of horrors and nightmares!)

Yay week 5, and well done for wresting control from Evil Laura, you know your body better than she does! Week 5 is a ridiculously steep curve, so I'm sure you're right to take it at your own pace and repeat the workouts as much as you need to. I think you'll probably be able to manage the terrifying day 3 if you do that, maybe even sooner than you think. When I was on 5/2 I thought I would never ever manage 5/3 and after a couple of tries I did. After that building up to week 8 was a breeze in comparison!
