rmc28: Photo of me shortly before starting my first half-marathon (half-marathon)

So, I haven't actually managed any running for two weeks, due to a variety of tedious reasons.  I have mostly managed to keep up some regular walking though, which is better than nothing.

Today, like last time, I could see in the morning that I would finally have an opportunity to run at lunchtime and packed my stuff.  When lunchtime rolled around I faced down the dont-wanna-run and went outside to do some running.

It wasn't great: my bra was the weakest of my sports bras and I am downgrading it after today to walking-only, and the run itself was split into two by me running an errand on the way.   But: I did some actual running, my pace was slower than last time but not hugely, and I did feel better for having done it when it was over.

And my errand was stopping in at the sports centre to put my name down for a personal program session with the fitness staff; the first step in my plan to lift more heavy things more often.

lifting heavy things> Do you have a plan for this? I mean to do it too, and moral support is probably helpful in getting me going.

I've been just about keeping up with running, but not with posting to or commenting on the community. So belatedly, well done on running even when you didn't feel like it, and I hope it's got more possible for you again since.
