Tuesday run
Nov. 5th, 2013 04:35 pmToday I had a work thing which threw my routine off, but eventually I managed to convince myself to go for a (very) late "lunch break" shortly after 2pm, trying out a different RunKeeper programme to vary pace a bit (2.25 miles). As always, once I was out and moving I was glad of it.
I've also just downloaded an "immersive running game" called Zombies, Run! which both my brother and one of my DW-circle have mentioned favourably and which is currently on offer at only £2.49. I'm going to try it out on Thursday (extra incentive to get over my Thursday lethargy!). Usefully, it links to RunKeeper so I'll still have all my run data in one place, and it offers either 30-minute or 60-minute "missions" which fit nicely with what I'm doing at the moment.

Date: 07/11/2013 01:54 pm (UTC)Thanks for the tip about Zombies, Run! I grabbed it while it was cheap, because I've seen some pretty good reviews of it, and I'm thinking I could do with some more gamification to get me past this slump I'm in. I'm a bit put off because I don't strongly want to run with headphones, not outside anyway. But I've been promising myself that once I get over this endless cold enough to be able to do 30 minutes at a steady pace of around 7 kph again, I'll give it a try. I'll be interested to know what you make of it.
