I did a week 3 run today as well. That makes twice in a row without getting a stitch, and I feel ready to step it up to week 4 next time.
It was fairly difficult today, and I had a little trouble with breath control. It being a day of or a work day definitely seems to make a difference. Ideally I suppose I should do it in the wee hours of the morning before work, but I don't have time for that. I get up early enough as it is. It was enormously difficult just getting changed and out of the door. Husband more or less shoved me outside to get me going. (On request, granted, but even so)
Now, today I forgot to start the timer on my phone before I left, so I had to improvise a bit. I start the podcast when leaving the house and I obviously know how long that is, so when it came to an end, I just let it start over from the beginning again. Then when I came home I could work out how far into the program that was and add up the numbers.
Today was the fastest time EVER for me. A full one minute and 18 seconds faster than the previous fastest time.
It was a little bit on purpose, as I was trying to be faster today. This may or may not come back to bite me in the rear when I turn the difficulty up next time. We shall see.

Date: 08/09/2014 10:21 am (UTC)Getting changed and actually setting out can often be the hardest bit, I am glad you had your husband to encourage you. As it's starting to get dark it's going to be harder for me run in the evening after work; there's probably a couple of months when I'll be fine if I make myself just go straight out even if I feel like I'm tired from the working day.

Date: 08/09/2014 05:06 pm (UTC)I'm more concerned about slippery winter weather, though. I bought some thingies for my boots so that I should be more secure on slippery bits in winter, though. I reckon they should work on running shoes as well. It's sort of like a spiky sandal for your shoe. :)
