Zombies Run 22 & 23: finished season 1
Feb. 28th, 2014 01:13 pmI ran Tuesday and today, and have managed to finish season 1 just in time for my half-marathon on Sunday. (eep)
Tuesday was lovely, all sunshine and enough breeze to stay cool but not to make things hard work.
Today was, well, wet. The rain radar suggested it will rain all afternoon so I screwed my courage to the sticking post and went out in it anyway. And it was surprisingly not-awful when I went outside, though if the wind had been stronger I think it would have been. Once I was moving it was fine.
My last few runs have all been quite slow, probably a legacy of the two horrible colds in three weeks. I'm going to set a very conservative pace for Sunday's run, reminding myself that the goal is to finish, not to worry about time. I am eating a lot of pasta today and tomorrow, have worked out a bus route to and from the event, and basically after today's run there is no more preparation for me to do (except make sure my kit is washed tonight/tomorrow!)
