My lungs might be rubbish, but my willpower is great! I dragged myself away from my nice cosy computer desk and out into the cold December afternoon. Then when I was at the gym I made myself get onto the treadmill even though I really didn't want to, and after the warm-up sped up to the still uncomfortable 7.2 kph. And then I made myself keep going at that pace for the whole 25 minutes, even though my lungs and my feet were complaining and I was screamingly bored. (My leg muscles weren't really complaining much; I think muscle-power isn't the limiting factor at this stage.)

So that gives me 3.5 km in 30 minutes or 8'32'' /km (including the warmup). And I feel bouncy and ready for Week 8, I'm really glad I did push myself today.

Yeah, a lot of the time, every week is better that you've ever done before, so it may get samey if I say "awesome!" every time. But yes, I mean, you're awesome because you started, not because you finished :) xxx
