Couple of slow runs

I managed to run along the river a second time last week, but not a third time because I ended up using all my lunchbreaks for house-hunting and then it was Passover. Second run felt easier than the first, and I thought I was going a bit faster rather than not being sure whether I'd even finish. But the numbers don't reflect that internal feeling, I ran 3.2 km in 30 minutes both times.
Today I'm back at uni. It was an absolutely glorious spring day, cool and sunny and blossom and new leaves everywhere. I almost positively wanted to go out for a run! I still don't really have a good route at the back of campus, but I have established a 3 – 3.5 km route that is at least mostly flattish, along the ridge the of the hills, and although it's mostly road running it's quiet back roads. Still really struggling with running up even the gentlest hills, but I expect it's good for me. I am not sure what I will do if I ever do manage to improve my pace; perhaps by then I'll be ok with extending the run over the steeper bits where I currently turn round and go back to avoid having to run up a steep slope. Or else I'll investigate running within campus; now the weather's getting nice I may well try running in the woodlands. (My uni is inside a kind of ridiculous country park, which is certainly a bonus for choosing running as my form of exercise!)
So anyway I managed 3.3 km today, so not exactly a great improvement over my runs last week, but some of that was uphill and I'm always slow the first time I run a new route. I may perhaps go back to the zombies now that I know where I'm going. Perhaps having the distraction and the motivation will help me to push myself a bit faster.
I have some reservations about the updated version of Runkeeper, but it still does the basic thing I want of measuring my run with GPS and providing a friendly robot lady to announce my timepoints.
