Failed attempt at running around the Shelfords at the weekend. I am noticeably less able to breathe in Cambridge in April than in the Midlands. I kept going for just under 18 minutes, then walked the rest. I am now fit enough that I can run through the beginnings of asthma (not a full-blown asthma attack, just some chest tightness), but it's pretty uncomfortable. There was also a willpower problem, because running an unfamiliar route I didn't have a feel for how much further I still had to go. 2.1 km, which is as fast as I ever run for 30 minutes; it's possible I was going just that bit too fast to keep it up.
Tried again today, back on my usual track along the Lyme valley. I kept going for 30 minutes without too much trouble. Runkeeper wasn't getting a GPS signal so I don't have a distance, I would guess it was fairly close to my standard 3.5 km though.
