Week H day 3

My day 3 run is 5 km continuously. I increased the speed from 6.8 kph to 7 kph, and it went surprisingly well. I managed 8 songs or just about 3/4 of the distance at 7 kph, then dropped to 6.5 kph mainly because if I promise myself I can slow down when I get to a certain point, I have to stick to that otherwise I won't be able to bribe myself any more in the future.
Unfortunately I took forever to get going today, and the gym closes early at weekends, so just as I got to 4.5 km they threw me out because it was time for the gym to close. I did that 4.5 km in 39 minutes, so I was totally on track to finish in 44 minutes. In fact I was contemplating speeding up again for the last stretch, I definitely wasn't in doubt I was going to finish.
Oh well, it's a good thing I dragged myself out to the gym rather than telling myself that it was too late and I might as well skip this one. It was a good run, too, I generally felt I was on top of things and could keep going for as long as I wanted. I doubt my fitness will suffer significantly for missing that last five minutes.
