Week 8 day 1

I'm a bit behind on starting Week 8, but I think I should still be able to manage three runs within the week.
Really good luck with the weather today: I happened to be free at lunchtime, and it was sunnier and warmer than it has been for ages. So I did the first run of week 8 outside, though it was colder and the ground was wetter than really ideal. Thinking I'd have to run on paths anyway, I returned to the cemetery; the problem is that I'm now running far enough that there isn't really space in the cemetery and I had to run round it several times to complete the run. To vary things I ran up and down the road and around some side-roads and footpaths outside the cemetery itself. Still, it was nice to have a change.
An annoying teenager laughed at me for being slow; that's actually the first grief I've had as a slow, fat woman running in public. I thanked him for his "encouragement" though I think it was probably meant sarcastically, and that took the wind out of his sails. I'm not particularly upset by it; it's still totally worth running outside when I can!
Stats: I completed the full 28 minutes without needing any breaks. My average pace was over 9½'/km again, but I'm not going to fuss about that. Although I tried to stick to the flatter bits, some of the run was distinctly uphill, and I think actually running and covering the ground is realistically harder than just running on a treadmill. Total 3.4 km in 33 minutes including the warmup.
I felt quite out of breath for much of the run, enough that it was a struggle to make myself keep going, though not painful. That may be partly to do with the cold air, and partly having my chest at a different angle due to running outdoors. Or partly just one of those things.
