Asking for help results in a run
There was a problem at work last week which basically blew up my plans for Thursday run and required weekend work too. So I only ran Tuesday last week. This week was also busy and stressful and I caught myself self-sabotaging opportunities to run. Eventually I asked
fanf for help and he changed his routine to give me time for a Thursday evening run.
30 minutes running, with 5 minutes each end to walk, and though it was dark it wasn't cold, and by 5 minutes into the running I was feeling much better, and by the end of it I was almost regretful that I had to stop. I wasn't especially fast but I did have some nice periods where everything seemed to be moving rhythmically and well.
I think that's another memory to put in the "reasons to run even when I don't feel like it" box. The plan for this weekend is to run 5k on Saturday morning once
fanf is up to take care of the children.
Next week I have two horribly early starts for work; the good side is that this means two early departures and thus TIME TO RUN. I may yet tick that "3 times weekly" box ...
